I had the chance to see this show live, around 2004 - 2006, it was amazing... however I saw it first on DVD in the late 90s, and is way better than the live show I saw The music playing, the singing and the show in general is incredible!! I remember waiting to experience live what I felt with the DVD, but I couldn't I love evertyhing what this show means.
I knew Le Cirque Du Soleol with this performance. Quidam, in my personal opinion, is the one I really like most. WONDERFUL !!!
My parents have this on DVD but it really sucks how I’ll never be able to see it live
surround by only right audio chanel.. that is funny
Wir waren live dabei , Ich liebe das !
Please remaster the video and especially the audio. This my favorite of all I've seen
55:17 the sheer strength that guy has to do that, climb up the rope with just his arm strength while keeping his core locked, freaking crazy!
best show theyve ever done
Sparks is one of those forgotten sitcoms that had the potential of being a good show. What happened to the show I don't know.
MY MAMA UNDENIABLE TALENT!! LMAO THIS IS GORDONLMAO
sound is horrid!
Well Im thankful she still here and doing well!!! BRAVO!!
Good energy to be in sync
"Life's a circus, I'm the clown"
Tengo el DVD de este espectáculo y tuve la oportunidad de ir a ver 'Dralion' cuando vinieron a mi país.
I remember this from my childhood.
Awesome WHO is singer of this song
FONTASIA YOU'RE AMAZING CAPTAVIATING AND HAUNTING MS BASSEY WOULD BE PROUD LOVE YOU MY QUEEN
This was the first release in 1996?
This is by far my favorite Cirque show. I remember being 16 and seeing it for the first time in 1996. The moment in the beginning when the living room (along with mom and dad) starts rising up was so overwhelming, I cried. It's still one of the most powerful experiences I've ever had at any theatrical performance or concert. I wish they still made shows like Quidam, but am also grateful that I was able to experience it in person and can relive that experience watching the video 28 years later.
Same here. This mesmerized me as a 9 year old child and I watched it so many times on DVD at home over the years. Quidam is an artistic masterpiece.
I remember New Years Eve 2000. when Bravo Channel would play these. I was about 7 years old and saw this for the first time. I was scared to death by the aesthetics but yet entirely fascinated. Cirque Du Soliel has definitely Been one of the biggest influences upon the actor/musician in me

so happy this is here, i can't wait to show my daughter tomorrow.
Fabulous simply, Danielle is perfection. God bless her. Coined the First Lady of Travel by Carmella
Finally, dancers who can dance. Leave it to miss Hunter to hire the best.
Was the best one!!
A truly beautiful and heartwarming 5 star performance 👏
This week, in december 2023, I watched this show with my daughter. It was amazing because I watched in 96, and I remember too many details, for example the last song. I got back that years for a moment… Great!
I watched this show on a (probably) bootleg DVD I got from the 99cent store several years ago. Easily when I was in late highschool and it still hits home. The feeling of alienation, the feeling of life ... Passing you by like a faceless stranger, the feeling like the world is this fantastic and magical place that you don't have a part in.... I fucking love this show
Why do men act like women
still the best show ever
I was very fortunate to see this particular performance when my children were both in Primary School. When Quidam was performed down in Melbourne. I was totally in awe, we all were, speechless and transfixed on that spectacular performance taking place right in front of us. Such incredible talent. Brings back great memories.
Brilliant ,thanks
Elena is a joy
Is he really 🎶 or 👄 syncing?
He is not lip syncing. If you get a chance to see him you will be astonished;
This is no Hard Rock.
Get it girl
18:45 The joker is used a loud roar.
I was set free every time.
I loved this show!
Why do they have to keep running their mouths throughout the show??
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂thirsty as hell up in there
Seeing the 1-800-COLLECT commercial 😭 😯 Now, I feel older. If you were not born in this time period, you do not understand the struggle we went through 😆
Sorry but the lighting is terrible
This recording isn’t an accurate depiction of the show’s lighting. At the time, Cirque shows had to significantly alter their lighting setup when they were filmed. Quidam being a generally very dark show had to overly brighten up the lighting for this recording. Which is why it there’s so much strong blue and bright yellows that weren’t originally as prevalent. Same happened with Alegria in Sydney.
WHATS UP WITH THE SOUND ON THIS ONE
its all going right into my right ear :']
When I first saw this film as a child, I could never understand or appreciate the sheer strength these performers have, especially the balancing duo. That lady had to have kept herself lifted, perfectly straight, unmoving for a solid minute, and THEN some.
@6:42 Channel Dupree "Bob Mackie Goddess of the Americans Doll" She SLAYED EVERYONE AS ALWAYS.
She just don’t even try no more 😂😂😂😂
By touching upon themes such as social disconnection and human suffering, this show is probably the most complex and dark show that Cirque du Soleil has done.
I agree, in a way it's like the yang to Saltimbanco's yin. Where that show was about human connection and living in a anti-violent peaceful society Quidam is also about the dangers of escapism and confronting our deepest sorrows like Zoe and her parents in a world filled with harsh realities and how love and understanding can break the societal disconnection in our modern world. I really don't think a cirque show has been more daring like this. ....well, maybe zumanity or ka for example but that's a different beast in it's own.
Sure, you’re right❤
Saw this as a kid the message it sent me as a writer gave me pause and I will continue to let Cirque affect me
rip chelsea and the dock
The memories! We had this on vhs.
